Donna Rugh MSN, CHPN, PMGT-BC currently serves as the Division Manager for Hospice and Palliative Care at Main Line Health since January 2022 and is an Adjunct Professor at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Donna participates as National Faculty for the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, teaching the CHPN & LPVN Review Course, and previously held the position of Hospice Professional Development Specialist at Penn Medicine. With a rich background in nursing that includes roles such as Palliative Care Nurse Coordinator and Staff Registered Nurse, Donna has accumulated extensive experience in pain management and palliative care. Donna is also a Doctorate in Nursing Practice candidate at West Chester University, building on a solid educational foundation that includes an MSN in Nursing Education and a BS in Nursing Science from Drexel University, along with an Associate's degree in Nursing Science from Delaware County Community College.

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) was established in 1986 and is the national professional organization that represents the specialty of palliative nursing, which includes hospice and palliative nurses. We support the profession through education, programs, research initiatives, and advocacy. Mission: Advance nursing expertise in hospice and palliative care through education, advocacy, leadership, and research. Vision: Every person living with serious illness receives equitable, comprehensive, and innovative hospice and palliative nursing care.
