Kelly Baxter, DNP, APRN, ACHPN, is a seasoned nursing professional specializing in palliative care. As the founder of Baxter Palliative Consulting, LLC since October 2020, Kelly has also contributed as a Rhode Island Plenary Assembly Member for National POLST and serves as the Rhode Island State Ambassador for the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. Kelly holds an adjunct faculty position in the Department of Nursing at Salve Regina University, alongside prior teaching roles at New England Institute of Technology. With extensive clinical experience, Kelly worked as a Palliative Care Advanced Practice Nurse at VNA of Care New England and Care New England, and held significant roles at Third Eye Health and Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Salve Regina University, a Master of Science in Family Practice Nursing from the University of Rhode Island, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sacred Heart University.
