Kari Himmelstrup, RN, currently serves as an RN Case Manager at Hospice of Santa Cruz County since October 2022. In addition to this role, Kari owns West Coast Legal Nurse Consulting, providing legal nurse consulting services since May 2021, focused on medical-legal case screening and preparation. Previous experience includes working as a Remote Triage Nurse at Kaiser Permanente, delivering nursing assessments and treatment recommendations, and as a Staff RN in the Emergency Department at John Muir Health, providing care to a diverse patient population. Kari's early career as an EMT-Paramedic with American Medical Response laid the foundation for extensive clinical expertise. Educational pursuits include a Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate from California State University, Monterey Bay, and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Excelsior University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Carleton College, awarded cum laude.
