Community Outreach and Education for Hospice- Partners in Caring Project at Hospice of Santa Cruz County

Savarna Wiley has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Research Coordinator and Case Reviewer at The Michael Newton Institute. From 2014 to 2014, they worked as an Educator at NTV Network, appearing in a documentary on the continuity of consciousness. In 2015, they joined The Newton Institute for LBL Hypnotherapy as a Hypnotherapy Instructor. Prior to that, Savarna worked at Hospice of Santa Cruz County from 1998 to 2015, first as a Chaplain providing spiritual care to patients and families, and later as a Community Outreach and Education for Hospice, developing curriculum and offering presentations on end-of-life issues. Finally, since 2005, they have been the Business Owner of Healing Journeys, providing Transpersonal Counseling, Hypnotherapy, and NLP services.

Savarna Wiley's education history begins with their pursuit of a Bachelor's degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1981 to 1983. Savarna focused on Art Therapy, which included studies in Anthropology, Psychology, and Studio Arts. After completing their BA, the next recorded milestone in their education is obtaining a Master's degree in Transpersonal Psychology from Sonoma State University between 1986 and 1988. Savarna'sthesis focused on "The Ways People Pray: The Psychological Significance of Prayer." Following this, Wiley attended the Institute for Transpersonal Studies from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy. During their studies, they covered various topics such as basic and advanced hypnotherapy, voice dialog, NLP, EFT, and other modalities. Additionally, Wiley has obtained a certification as an LBL Facilitator and Instructor from The Newton Institute, beginning in 2010.
