Cecilia Baber

Cecilia Baber is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as Controller at Hospice of the Piedmont since November 2021, Cecilia leads financial operations to support palliative and end-of-life care. Previously, Cecilia held the Controller role at Albemarle County from November 2015 to October 2021, overseeing accounting, payroll, and risk management, and served as Chief Accountant, managing a diverse range of accounting services. Earlier experience includes significant positions at the University of Virginia, where Cecilia directed gift accounting operations during a major capital campaign and contributed to process improvements and staff training. Additional roles include Accounting Manager at Central Virginia Health Services, Legal Assistant at McGuire Woods, LLP, and Tax Manager at Jackson Hewitt.
