Elizabeth Leverage Hilles possesses extensive experience in both philanthropic advising and therapeutic music. Currently serving as a Senior Philanthropic Advisor in the Office of Gift Planning at the University of Virginia since February 2020, Elizabeth has also held roles such as Musician-in-Residence at the University of Virginia Health System and Music by the Bedside Practitioner at Hospice of the Piedmont since 2016. Previous positions include Director of Gift Planning and Advancement Manager at the University of Virginia Law School Foundation and Counsel at McGuireWoods LLP, where Elizabeth specialized in nonprofit advisory services and estate planning. Elizabeth's academic background includes a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.S. in Psychology from Duke University, complemented by certification as a Music Practitioner from the Music for Healing and Transition Program.
