Ron Cottrell

Mr. Cottrell previously worked as Vice President of Business Development, Blue Ridge Region of Sentara Healthcare, serving Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital (Charlottesville) and Sentara RMH Medical Center (Harrisonburg). During his time at Martha Jefferson Hospital, Mr. Cottrell also worked as Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Planning and Corporate Development.

Mr. Cottrell is the incoming chair of the Board for the Virginia Association for Hospice and Palliative care and is a board member for the Martha Jefferson Hospital, Physician/ Hospital Organization; and has been chair of the Board of the Martha Jefferson Outpatient Surgery Center; former chair of Physical Therapy at ACAC; Ron has served as chair, Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development and has been on the Board of the Charlottesville/Albemarle Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Cottrell graduated from Central Michigan University and received a Master’s of Business Administration degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Mr. Cottrell and his wife, Dawn, live in Charlottesville and have four sons.
