May al-Abousi

May Al-Abousi has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Starting in 2007, they worked at the University Hospitals of Cleveland as an M.D and later as the Medical Director for hospice and palliative care. In 2017, they joined Hospice of the Western Reserve as the Chief Medical Officer. Currently, they are employed at Cleveland Clinic as an Internal Medicine Physician and Staff Physician, starting in 2018.

May Al-Abousi began their education in 1983 at the University of Baghdad, where they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in the field of Medicine. May completed their medical studies in 1989. In 2014, they enrolled at Cleveland State University and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business in 2016. Concurrently, from 2016 to 2020, May Al-Abousi pursued further specialization in the field of Medicine. May obtained both a Board Certification in Internal Medicine from ABIM (American Board of Internal Medicine) and a Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care from the American Board of Medical Specialties. Additional certifications obtained by May Al-Abousi include the American board certifications for Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care. The institution providing these certifications is the American Board of Medical Specialties, although specific dates of completion are unavailable.
