Paul Serwatka

Paul Serwatka has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Paul worked at Hospice of the Western Reserve from 2014 to present, starting as a Licensed Practical Nurse and progressively taking on more responsibilities. In their most recent role as Director of Compliance, they ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and collaborates with healthcare staff to improve patient care services. Prior to that, they worked as a Computer Education Coordinator, where they delivered training and facilitated professional development among staff. Paul also served as a Registered Nurse, where they coordinated care, managed resources, and implemented process improvements. Before joining Hospice of the Western Reserve, Paul worked at Golden LivingCenters as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Charge Nurse, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving skills for patient care management.

Paul Serwatka is currently pursuing a Post-Graduate Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner from Youngstown State University. Paul has a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Paul Serwatka's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University. In addition to their formal education, they have acquired several certifications including a Hospice Compliance Certificate Program from the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, and a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) certification from the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association.
