Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a background in firmware development and electronics design. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris is part of a cross-functional team developing hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Prior roles include firmware engineer at SMART Technologies and electronics contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, where responsibilities involved electronics design for educational devices. Additional experience includes serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary and working as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, focusing on control systems for the forestry industry. Chris holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
