Jorge Humberto Guardado has been working in various roles related to cardiology and healthcare since 2001. Jorge Humberto has held positions at Hospital Cruz Vermelha, UCARDIO. CENTRO CLINICO - UNIDADE CARDIOVASCULAR, Centro Hospitalar do Algarve, Centro Hospitalar de Leiria, EPE, Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra (CHUC), Hospital Garcia de Orta, EPE, and Portuguese Air Force. Jorge Humberto has experience as a Head Management Partnership in a cardio and heart center, Clinical Program and Executive Director, Interventional Cardiologist, Head of Hemodynamics and Cardiovascular Intervention Unit, and as an MD specializing in aeronautic medicine.

Jorge Humberto Guardado's education history includes a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the Universidade de Coimbra, which they earned between 1989 and 1995. Jorge Humberto pursued a Master's degree in Occupational Medicine from the same university from 1998 to 2000. In 2012 and 2013, they attended the Universidade Católica Portuguesa for an Executive Course in Advanced Medical Leaders Program (AMLP). Finally, in 2023 and 2024, they obtained a Pós-graduação Lato Sensu - MBA Executivo in Gestão de Serviços de Saúde from INDEG-ISCTE Executive Education.
