Silvia Beltramone

Silvia Beltramone is a dedicated researcher with extensive experience in stem cell biology and translational medicine. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Hospital del Mar Research Institute since January 2024, Silvia also holds the position of Research Specialist in Stem Cells at Universitat Pompeu Fabra from February 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Stem Cell and Differentiation Specialist at the Centre for Genomic Regulation, where Silvia developed differentiation protocols from Embryonic Stem Cells. Silvia's doctoral research focused on the mitochondrial mechanisms linked to Parkinson’s disease utilizing induced pluripotent stem cells. Earlier academic pursuits at Università degli Studi di Brescia and Università degli Studi di Milano enhanced expertise in cell reprogramming and the associated study of microtubules in Parkinson’s disease, backed by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and Biology, respectively.
