Vanesa Flaviano

Vanesa Flaviano has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Vanesa is currently working as a Clinical Informatics Lead at the Hospital for Special Surgery since October 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Nursing Administrative Coordinator at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, where they organized and supervised nursing care and enforced nursing standards from April 2016 onwards. Vanesa then worked as an Informatics Nurse Specialist at NYU Langone Health from July 2017 to September 2022. Before that, they served as a Clinical System Analyst at Maimonides Medical Center, where they developed expertise in analyzing and interpreting patient and nursing data, implemented informatics solutions, and ensured privacy and security of patient information between August 2015 and June 2017. Vanesa'scareer started as a Registered Nurse at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai from November 2009 to July 2015.

Vanesa Flaviano, MSN, RN-BC holds a Master's Degree in Nursing Informatics from New York University, earned between 2012 and 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse at Adelphi University in 2009. In addition to their education, Vanesa Flaviano has obtained certifications in Informatics Nursing (RN-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and in the OpTime Application from Epic.
