Greg Porter

Greg Porter has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Greg is currently the Managing Director - Capital Markets at HREC Investment Advisors, a leading real estate advisory firm specializing in lodging and gaming properties. Prior to that, Greg served as the Senior Vice President - Capital Markets at the same company. Before joining HREC, they worked as a Managing Director at Five Mile Capital. Greg also served as the President of Starlight Capital Advisors / First Carlsbad Mortgage. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Vice President at Merrill Lynch, where they originated and closed over $1 billion in commercial real estate loans. Greg started their career at Bear Stearns as a Vice President, where they underwrote and originated over $500 million in commercial real estate loans. Greg began their career as a Commercial Real Estate Advisor at Arthur Andersen & Co. and as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser at Bristol Realty Counselors.

Greg Porter attended the University of Southern California from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance.
