Carl Shepherd

Carl Shepherd is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the vacation rental and technology industries. Currently serving as the Senior Non Executive Director at Hostelworld Group since August 2017, Shepherd has also held various board positions, including Past Board Member at Edge Retreats and RVShare, as well as Past Board Director at TurnKey Vacation Rentals and OnceThere. Notably, Shepherd co-founded HomeAway, Inc., where contributions included roles as CoFounder, Board Director, and Chief Strategic and Development Officer from 2005 to 2015. Earlier career highlights include serving as Chief Operating Officer at Hoover's Inc. and Vice President of Business Development at Human Code. Shepherd holds an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a BBA in Marketing and Advertising from Texas Christian University.
