Matthew Colony has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Matthew started their career in 1997 at the Radisson Inn, Albuquerque Airport, where they gained valuable experience in various positions. Matthew then moved on to Larken Hospitality, Inc., where they served as a Resident Manager at the Clarion Hotel, overseeing room operations and managing a staff of 40. In 2001, Matthew joined Carlson Hotels as an Assistant Front Office Manager at the Radisson Riverfront, where they supervised a staff of 25 and ensured smooth front desk operations. Matthew then worked as the Director of Convention Services at the Marina Inn Hotel & Conference Center, overseeing banquet and meeting space operations. Matthew continued to progress in their career, holding the role of Complex Director of Sales at Innkeepers USA, where they handled sales activities for two select service suburban properties. Matthew further excelled as a Revenue Manager at First Hospitality Group, contributing to the hotel's recognition as "Hotel of the Year" and improving its RevPAR index. Matthew continued their revenue management expertise at Crestline Hotels & Resorts, where they served as the Director of Revenue Management for a Hilton Garden Inn in Chicago, implementing strategies to optimize revenue and maximize room sales. Finally, they joined Hostmark Hospitality Group in 2016 as the Complex Director of Revenue Management.

From 1987 to 1991, Matthew Colony attended Pacific University. During this time, they completed coursework on a curriculum path towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
