Francisco Javier Arce Gándara

Francisco Javier Arce Gándara is the Chief Development Officer at Hoteles City Express SAB de CV. Francisco has been with the company since May 2002, and in their current role, they oversee all aspects of hotel development, from land acquisition to delivery of the finished product to the operator. Francisco also manages the construction and equipment bidding process, coordinates with contractors and suppliers, and promotes the City Express franchise throughout Mexico and Central and South America.

Arce Gándara began their career in 1992 as a Project Manager at LEAR Corporation. Francisco left LEAR Corporation in 1993 to join Grupo Posadas as Director of Development. Francisco remained with Grupo Posadas until 1999 when they co-founded Hoteles City Express.

Francisco Javier Arce Gándara has a Master's degree in Business Administration from Universidad del Valle de México, and a degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Production from the same school. Francisco also has certification from the Instituto de Turismo Responsable in Biosphere, IFC - International Finance Corporation in EDGE, Asociación de Hoteles de la Ciudad de México in Hidro Sustentable, and U.S. Green Building Council in LEED.
