Dr Ashish Patel

Dr. Ashish Patel, MD, currently serves as Managing Director of the Capital Markets Group at Houlihan Lokey, advising high-growth companies on private capital transactions. Previously, Dr. Patel was Managing Director and Head of Growth Capital Solutions in Investment Banking at Deutsche Numis, leading the private capital investment and advisory business. Prior roles include Principal at Optum Ventures, where notable transactions included the acquisition of Lumeon, and Life Sciences Investor & Head of Research at Mercia Asset Management PLC, contributing to significant AUM growth. Dr. Patel was a founding Clinical Technology Director at babylon health, focusing on new product R&D, and worked as an Anaesthetics & Intensive Care Doctor in the NHS. Dr. Patel holds a BMBCh from the University of Oxford and an MA in Physiological Sciences and the History and Philosophy of Science from the same institution.
