Shane Warnakula

Shane Warnakula has a wide range of experience in data engineering and business intelligence. Shane is currently working at Houlihan Lokey as a Lead Data Engineer, where they are responsible for developing data pipelines and integrating data systems. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data/Integration Engineer at Houlihan Lokey, where they introduced scripting and developed OLAP Cubes.

Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Shane worked at The Cheesecake Factory as a Senior Datawarehouse Engineer for a few months. Shane also had previous experience at City National Bank as an Assistant Vice President Information Technology, Wealth Management, BI Developer, where they created KPI dashboards and supported data mart and data warehouse development.

Shane's earlier experience includes working at Houlihan Lokey as a Senior Data Engineer - Business Intelligence, where they created ETL/ELT pipelines and introduced Python and Powershell scripting. Shane also worked at Urban Science as an On Site Manager and Senior Developer, where they managed dashboard applications, created QA tests, and maintained databases and ETL processes. Additionally, at Urban Science, they supported SAAS applications in Europe and implemented data updates and ETL processes for European car sales data.

Shane's career began with an internship at AIG.

Shane Warnakula obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Computing with a focus on Data Modeling/Warehousing and Database Administration from Coventry University. In addition, they received a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the Scrum Alliance in February 2019.
