Brian Brown, CHC, LEED®AP has over 27 years of experience in the construction industry. Brian began their career in 1994 as a Project Manager at Kjellstrom and Lee, Inc., where they worked until 2005. In 2005, Brian joined Hourigan as a Project Manager and later advanced to the position of Sr. Project Manager in 2008. Brian continued to excel in their career, becoming a Project Executive in 2014 and then Director of Healthcare in 2020. Most recently, Brian has been serving as Vice President, Healthcare since June 2022. Throughout their career, Brian has gained expertise in healthcare construction and has successfully managed various projects. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED®AP).
Brian Brown obtained their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology / Construction Management from Old Dominion University, which they attended from 1989 to 1994. In terms of certifications, they have obtained the Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) certification from the American Hospital Association in October 2020. Additionally, they have completed the Certified Healthcare Worker CCHW program from the Construction Infection Control Training Institute. Furthermore, they hold certifications in First Aid / CPR / AED from Hourigan, and the Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC) from the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE). Finally, Brian has also achieved the LEED® AP certification from the US Green Building Council, as well as completing the OSHA 10 & 30 Hour training from Hourigan.
