Marvin K. Smith, MD, MS, currently serves as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Memorial Regional Hospital South and holds the position of Lead Physician at House of Athlete since December 2020. With extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery, Marvin K. Smith also functions as Chairman of the Surgical Staff Executive Committee at Memorial Healthcare System and has previously been Vice Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at Memorial Hospital Regional. Training includes a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Virginia and an Orthopaedic Surgical Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Educational background encompasses a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami, a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Florida Atlantic University, and a dual undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University in Biology and Business Administration. Areas of expertise include adult joint reconstruction/replacement, musculoskeletal oncology, pediatric fracture care, orthopaedic trauma, sports medicine, foot and ankle, spine surgery, and hand surgery.
