Josh Carlson

Animator at House of Moves

Josh Carlson has a diverse work experience. Josh started their career as an Animation Student at Gnomon School of Visual Effects from 2010 to 2014. Josh then worked as a Production Intern at Nickelodeon Virtual Worlds Group in 2009. Following that, they became a Merchandise CP at Walt Disney World from 2007 to 2008. In 2014, they joined House of Moves as an Animator, where they worked on motion capture editing and keyframing for various games and commercial projects. In 2017, they participated in Remote Year, a work and travel program, where they continued their full-time job while traveling to 13 countries in one year, leading and participating in workshops to help participants with personal development and career opportunities.

Josh Carlson began their education at Grand Valley State University in 2005 and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Film and Video Production in 2009. After that, they attended Kendall College of Art and Design from 2009 to 2010, where they took traditional art classes. Josh further enhanced their skills by attending Gnomon School of Visual Effects from 2010 to 2014, earning a certificate in Entertainment Design and Digital Production.
