Gerard Llopart Roura

Gerard Llopart Roura has extensive work experience in software testing and quality assurance. Gerard started their career in 2016 as a QA Automation Engineer at FICOSA, where they were responsible for designing and executing manual and automated tests for the Telematic Control Unit (TCU) project. Gerard also served as the principal owner of the project.

In 2017, Gerard joined Grifols as a QA Test Engineer in the Immunohematology department. Their responsibilities included designing and creating manual test cases, executing tests, and reporting results. Gerard even took on the role of QA Test Lead for a period of six months.

From 2019 to 2021, Gerard worked at WebCargo by Freightos, initially as a QA Test & Automation Engineer and later as a Software Product Manager. In these roles, they led the QA department and was responsible for creating automated test scripts using Selenium and Robot Framework. Gerard managed teams and projects, creating stories, tasks, and bug tickets to ensure timely delivery.

Most recently, Gerard joined Housfy in 2021 as a QA Test & Automation Engineer. Here, they established the testing department from scratch and carried out exploratory, manual, and task-based testing. Additionally, they created an automated test suite using Selenium and Robot Framework and tracked errors found in production and pre-production environments.

Throughout their career, Gerard has demonstrated a strong focus on quality assurance and has played pivotal roles in establishing and leading testing departments.

Gerard Llopart Roura completed their education in a chronological order. Gerard first pursued a Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior in Sistemas de telecomunicaciones e informáticos from Institut Premià de Mar from 2013 to 2015. Following this, they attended Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and obtained a Grado en Ingeniería informática in Informática y telecomunicaciones, from 2015 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Gerard has also obtained several certifications. In February 2016, they received the ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level certification from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board. Furthermore, they obtained certifications from Cisco, including CCNA Exploration: Routing Protocols and Concepts in February 2015, CCNA Exploration: Network Fundamentals in June 2014, and Cisco IT Essentials in April 2014.
