Armon Matthews has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Armon began their career as an Assistant Football Coach at Wenonah High School in 1999 and later moved on to become a Senior Manager at Boral North America from 2005 to 2007. In 2008, they became the Director at TR MCCOY before transitioning to a role as a Youth Minister at a church in 2007. Armon then joined The Housing Authority of the Birmingham District in 2012, where they took on various positions such as Community Coordinator, Community Center Supervisor, and Campus of HOPE Coordinator/Envision Center Director. Armon is currently serving as the Interim VP of Community Engagement for the same organization. Additionally, they have recently held the role of Assistant Football Coach at Pinson Valley High School from 2020 to 2021.
Armon Matthews completed their high school education at Wenonah High School in 1991, receiving a diploma with a focus on general studies. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at The University of Southern Mississippi from 1991 to 1997.
