Clarissa Campos has over 20 years of experience in the housing and community development sector, currently serving as a Compliance Coordinator at the Housing Authority of the City of Austin since September 2003. In this role, Clarissa acts as a liaison between the Vice-President of Housing and Community Development/Community Directors and Property Managers. Previous positions include Family Self-Sufficiency Coordinator, Compliance Supervisor, and Eligibility Specialist within the same organization. Prior to that, Clarissa worked as a Case Manager/Outreach Specialist at Austin Academy from May 2002 to September 2003. Clarissa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work/Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, completed in 2002.

As a High Performing Housing Authority that assists more than 18,000 Austinites, the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) owns and operates nearly 1,900 units of conventional public housing in 18 developments throughout Austin. Development sites range from high-rise apartments on Lady Bird Lake to small duplexes in residential neighborhoods. HACA also manages the Housing Choice Voucher/Section 8 Program that provides rental vouchers for more than 5,000 units of housing in Austin's private rental market.
