Jim V. Mugunga

Mr. Mugunga joined the Board in September 2017. He is the Head of Communications and the Official Spokesman at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development in the Privatization Unit. He is a Certified Public Private Partnership and Advocacy Specialist with a wide International PPP network. He has a remarkable footprint in business and investigative journalism with over 25 years experience in the broader communications field ranging from media and public relations, advocacy, public speaking, strategy preparation and implementation. He also has experience in public and investor relations, divestitures and growing private participation in business.

Mr. Mugunga is a member of Board of Directors at National Housing and Construction Company Limited, the New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Limited and the International School of Uganda (ISU). An ardent advocate for good governance and sports, he serves in various roles with the Institute of the Corporate Governance of Uganda and the Uganda Sports Press Association. He holds a Masters Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Leeds (UK) and has qualifications in Journalism, Teaching and Mentorship, Public Relations, Corporate Governance and Public Private Partnerships.
