Andy McGuigan is an experienced recruitment and HR professional with a strong focus on strategic resourcing and team leadership. Currently serving as the Recruitment Project Manager at the Housing Ombudsman since June 2022, Andy leads an organization-wide expansion recruitment program. Previous roles include Resourcing Skills Lead at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, where the recruitment strategy and apprenticeships were prioritized, and Resourcing Partner at The Health Foundation, where innovative people resourcing strategies were developed. Andy's earlier positions encompassed roles such as HR Manager at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College, and Head of HR Direct at the London Borough of Camden, showcasing a consistent track record in managing recruitment processes and teams. Housing Ombudsman
Our role is to resolve disputes involving members of the Housing Ombudsman Scheme and support effective landlord-tenant dispute resolution by others. Members of the scheme include housing associations and local authority landlords plus some private landlords who are voluntary members. Our service is independent and impartial. Our vision is Housing Matters: Fairness Matters which recognises the importance of housing to people’s lives. We ensure the fair and impartial resolution of housing complaints, locally where possible. When things go wrong we put things rights and encourage learning from outcomes.
