Prior to this role, Howie served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Toronto Community Housing from October 2005 to December 2011. Howie's legal career began at Gowlings, where a substantial tenure spanned from October 1986 to September 2005, culminating in the position of Associate and Partner. Educationally, Howie holds a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s Degree from York University's Osgoode Hall Law School.
