Matt Burrus has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Matt started their career as a Senior Equity Research Associate at Raymond James & Associates from May 2000 to September 2002. Matt then worked as a Senior Account Executive at Hill & Knowlton from September 2002 to July 2004. From July 2004 to September 2007, they served as the Public Relations Manager at Houston Association of REALTORS / HAR.com. Matt then advanced to the position of Chief Communications Officer at the same company, holding that position from September 2007 onwards. In addition to their corporate roles, Matt has been an active member of various organizations, including serving as a Board of Governors and Political Co-Chair at Human Rights Campaign Houston from March 2007 to October 2008, and as an Advisory Board Member at Recipe for Success Foundation from May 2014 to May 2015. Matt Burrus attended McKinney High School from 1988 to 1992. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance at The University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1996. Following their undergraduate studies, Matt furthered their education at the University of Houston Law Center from 1997 to 2000, obtaining a Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a focus on Law.
