Yvonne Smith

Yvonne Smith is an accomplished violist with extensive experience in both performance and education. Currently, Yvonne serves as a violist for Lyra Baroque Orchestra and as the Founder and Artistic Director of La Speranza. Yvonne has performed with various prestigious organizations, including BACH Society Houston, Ars Lyrica Houston, and the Houston Symphony, among others. In addition to performing modern and historical viola across Texas and the United States, Yvonne is dedicated to teaching violin and viola at multiple locations in Houston. Yvonne holds a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from Rice University and a high school diploma in music from Baltimore School for the Arts.
