Jena Portanova

Jena Portanova is an experienced professional with a strong background in plant ecology and environmental sciences. Currently serving as Plant Records Manager at Houston Botanic Garden since March 2022, Jena previously worked as an Environmental Investigator for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Expertise in GIS was developed as a GIS Analyst at Tessellations Inc., where Jena managed a video tutorial project for public education. Prior experience includes roles as a GIS Technician for Gas Services at Modis, Adjunct Faculty at Marymount California University, and Graduate Teaching Associate at Cal Poly Pomona.
