Eric Z. Edwards

Eric Z. Edwards has extensive legal experience, currently serving as District Attorney at the Houston County District Attorneys Office since September 2021, after previously holding the position of Chief Assistant District Attorney. Prior to this, Eric Z. Edwards was an Assistant District Attorney at the Office of the District Attorney, Macon Judicial Circuit, and served as a Senior Assistant Public Defender at the Houston County Public Defender's Office. Earlier roles include an Assistant District Attorney at the Houston County District Attorneys Office and a Judicial Law Clerk & Staff Attorney at the Houston County Superior Court. Academic credentials include a JD from Georgia State University College of Law and a Certificate of Proficiency in Child Advocacy Studies from the University of Arkansas. Eric Z. Edwards also holds a BA in Biology and Geology from Georgia Southern University.
