Carlon Carpenter has a diverse work experience in the field of soccer analysis and coaching. Carlon has worked as a Head Video Analyst for the Houston Dynamo Football Club since 2023. Previously, Carlon was a Co-Founder & Board Member of The Association of Professional Football Analysis starting from 2022. Carlon also worked as a Writer/Analyst for American Soccer Analysis in 2018. Carlon has a background in performance analysis, having served as a Performance Analyst for Bath City Football Club from 2020 to 2023, and as a Tactical and Video Analyst for StatsBomb from 2020 to 2023. Carlon also worked as a Youth National Team Analyst for the U.S. Soccer Federation from 2020 to 2022. Earlier in their career, Carlon gained experience as a Men's Soccer Performance Analyst and UVA Men's Soccer Operations Assistant/Performance Analyst for the University of Virginia from 2018 to 2020, as well as a Goalkeeping Coach for SOCA ~ Soccer Organization of Charlottesville/Albemarle from 2017 to 2018. Carlon also has coaching experience, having served as an Assistant Men Soccer Coach for St. Anne's-Belfield School from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, they worked as a St. Anne's Belfield School Aftercare Lead Teacher from 2017 to 2018.
Carlon Carpenter attended Longwood University from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in History with a concentration in Pre Law. Additionally, Carlon obtained certifications in "Modern Scouting And Data Driven Recruitment" and "Coaching And Analysing Set Pieces" from StatsBomb in October 2020 and September 2020, respectively.
