James Salazar

James Salazar currently serves as the Head Equipment Manager for Houston Dynamo Football Club since January 2025. Prior to this role, James held various positions at New Mexico United, including Director of Soccer Operations and Assistant Director of Operations from January 2020 to January 2025, as well as Kit Man/Equipment Manager. James has experience in youth sports as the Director of Youth Academy (U5-U8) and a Soccer Coach at Rio Rapids Soccer Club from February 2018 to December 2021. Additionally, James was an Assistant Coach at Eastern New Mexico University from February 2016 to January 2018 and held the position of Nm Rush Director of Player Development at NM Rush Soccer Club from August 2011 to August 2015. Early in their career, James coached at the International Indoor Soccer Arena and completed an internship with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. James earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University in 2019 and graduated from Sandia High School in 2010.
