Jason Purifoy

Jason Purifoy, CTA has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on sales and marketing. Jason currently holds the position of Director of Convention Sales at Houston First Corporation since April 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Sales (In-House) at the same company from June 2015 until April 2022.

Before joining Houston First Corporation, Jason worked at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as the Director of Sales & Marketing from July 2012 to June 2015. Jason also held the position of Complex Director of Group Sales at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. from August 2010 to July 2012.

Jason'sprevious roles include Associate Director of Sales & Marketing at Noble House Hotels & Resorts from October 2007 to July 2010, Senior Sales Manager at Westmont Hospitality Group from May 2006 to October 2007, and various positions at Hilton Hotels Worldwide from January 2000 to April 2006, including Assistant Front Office Manager, Director of Front Office Operations, Hotel Manager, and Sales Manager.

Jason Purifoy, CTA's education history includes studying Psychology/Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University from 1996 to 2000. Prior to that, they served in the United States Army from 1996 to 2005, specializing in the Military Police Corps. In addition to their academic background, Jason has obtained certifications such as a Certified Tourism Ambassador from the Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) Program in November 2015 and a Certified Hospitality Sales Professional from the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
