Colin Brush is an accomplished arts administrator and producer with extensive experience in the opera and performing arts sector. Currently serving as the Director of the Sarah and Ernest Butler Houston Grand Opera Studio since October 2023, Colin previously managed talent at UIA Talent Agency from October 2021 to January 2024 and produced a full-scale production of WEST SIDE STORY at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari from April 2022 to January 2023. Colin's role as Artistic Administrator at Washington National Opera from January 2013 to October 2020 involved collaborating with senior leadership on various artistic initiatives and managing key responsibilities, including artist casting and contract negotiations. Additionally, Colin participated in a highly competitive fellowship with Robert Bosch Stiftung focused on transatlantic topics. Colin holds a Master’s degree in Music from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from Carnegie Mellon University.
