Janeana White serves as the Deputy Public Health Authority at the Houston Health Department since November 2021, focusing on addressing health inequities for the benefit of all Houstonians. In addition, Janeana is the Treasurer and Founder of Texas Women in Homeland Security since October 2024, and holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor at the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine since July 2021, where Janeana integrates emerging public health knowledge into the curriculum. Janeana has also been the President of Madison Health & Wellness, PLLC since June 2014, and previously served as the Medical Director for Harris County Public Health and TeamHealth, overseeing comprehensive inpatient care and emergency response. Janeana's educational background includes multiple degrees from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and Wayne State University, along with advanced studies in homeland defense and leadership.
