Rania Abdelkhaleq possesses a robust academic and research background in public health, epidemiology, and biostatistics. Currently serving as a Doctoral Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), Rania is involved in the DETECT-RPC project within the Cannell Lab. In parallel, Rania works as a Doctoral Researcher with the Houston Health Department, focusing on evaluating health equity programs. Previous experiences include roles as a Graduate Research Assistant II in Neurology/Neurosurgery at UTHealth, where Rania contributed to stroke research, and an internship with Embody Transformation, researching public policies linked to health inequities. Rania's education includes a PhD in Epidemiology from UTHealth Houston, a Master’s in Biostatistics from UTHealth, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology from the University of Texas at Austin.
