Juan Gallardo Teruel

Juan Gallardo Teruel is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in education and creative writing. Since May 2023, Juan has been a Fiction Writer at La Voltereta, where the novel “Amor Fati” is set to be released in the fall of 2023. Juan's long-standing tenure at Houston ISD, beginning in August 2001, includes roles such as Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Magnet Coordinator, alongside significant contributions to teacher development and programs for EL newcomers. As a UDL Consultant at CAST, Juan has played a vital role in promoting inclusive educational practices through keynote speeches and workshops across various countries. Additionally, Juan has co-authored several fiction novels published by Grupo Planeta and Ediciones Versátil, reflects a commitment to both literary and educational excellence. Juan also has a background in music journalism and performance, alongside previous experience in translation and educator licensure assessment. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature.
