Scott Wesley Long

Scott Wesley Long, MD, PhD, serves as Associate Professor of Pathology and Genomic Medicine at Houston Methodist, where responsibilities include guiding the clinical microbiology laboratory and supporting the development of clinical innovations. Long holds multiple leadership roles, including Medical Director of the Diagnostic Microbiology Laboratory and Medical Director of Pathology Informatics, focusing on modernizing informatics tools for clinicians. Long also directs the ACGME accredited Clinical Informatics Fellowship at Houston Methodist and has contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College.
