Jacob Block (Jake)

Jacob (Jake) Block is an experienced maritime professional who has served as a Pilot Boat Captain and Deckhand/Relief Captain at Houston Pilots since August 2016. Previously, Jacob worked as a Deckhand at the Port of Houston Authority during an internship that focused on accumulating sea time. Earlier experience includes serving as a Sailboat Rigger at West Marine Rigging Service, where Jacob conducted rigging inspections and replacements, as well as installing new hardware for various vessels. Jacob holds an Associate of Science degree in Maritime Transportation from San Jacinto College and a High School Diploma from La Porte High School.
