Thomas Preuml, CCM, CCE has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Thomas started their career as a Chef Apprentice at Hotel St. Oswald, Austria in 1980 and worked there until 1984. From 1984 to 1988, they held various positions at Schnapshouse Restaurant, Vargo's Restaurant, Chili's Restaurants, and Oktoberfest Restaurant. Preuml then worked as a Banquet Chef at Warwick Hotel, Warwick Club, and Inn on the Park Hotel from 1988 to 1990. In 1991, they joined ClubCorp where they served as General Manager, Food and Beverage Director, and Executive Chef until 2008. After that, they became the Assistant General Manager at Sugar Creek Country Club from May 2008 to August 2008. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer at Houston Racquet Club since September 2008.

Thomas Preuml, CCM, CCE began their education at Volksschule Trebesing, Hauptschule / Politechnischer Lehrgang Gmuend, Austria from 1971 to 1980. From 1980 to 1983, they attended Fach Berufsschule Tourismus Warmbad Villach, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts as a Chef. In 2013, Thomas continued their education at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they completed the CMAA/BMI II program in Leadership Principles. In the same year, they also attended Michigan State University for the CMAA/BMI III program, focusing on becoming a Chief Operating Officer. Thomas furthered their education in 2013 at Georgia State University, where they completed the CMAA/CCM Review Course to prepare for the CCM Exam. Lastly, in 2015, Thomas studied at Cornell University to complete the CMAA/BMI IV program, focusing on Tactical Leadership.

In addition to their education, Thomas Preuml also holds additional certifications. In 2013, they obtained the CCM certification from the Club Management Association of America. In 2018, they achieved the CCE certification as a Certified Chief Executive from the Club Managers Assn of America (CMAA).

Houston Racquet Club
