Lauren Buchanan

Lauren Buchanan is a skilled communications professional with extensive experience in development communications and project management. Currently serving as Development Communications Manager at the Houston Symphony since September 2022, Lauren previously held roles at Subject Matter where responsibilities included overseeing quality assurance testing for interactive projects while managing logistics and budgets. Earlier experiences include various positions at Burson-Marsteller, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the U.S. House of Representatives, where Lauren contributed to integrated communications campaigns, developed strategic communications, and managed online content. Lauren holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with a Public Relations concentration from Howard University and also studied Public Relations at Richmond, The American International University in London.
