Paul de Vries

Paul de Vries is a Partner in Corporate M&A at Houthoff, serving as a civil-law notary since October 2019. With an extensive academic background, Paul holds the position of Extraordinary Professor in Corporate Law at Utrecht University, where research focuses on Corporate Cooperation and Corporate Transactions. Previous roles include being a member of the Advisory Board and guest lecturer in Corporate Law at the University of Groningen from 2010 to 2021, and earlier as a lecturer and PhD researcher specializing in minority shareholder rights. Paul earned dual LL.M. degrees in Dutch Private Law and Notarial Law from the University of Groningen and has conducted comparative legal research published by Wolters Kluwer.
