Chris Gomez

Chris Gomez has extensive work experience in the field of health, safety, and environmental management. Chris has held various roles in multiple companies. From 2019 onwards, they have been the Director of Global HSE-Occupational Health & Toxicology at Hovione. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Health Safety and Environmental for North America at Hovione from 2016 to 2019. Before joining Hovione, Chris worked at Tris Pharma as a Senior Manager of Environmental Health Safety & Security from 2015 to 2015, and as a Manager of Environmental Health & Safety from 2013 to 2015. In 2012, they worked at Colgate Palmolive as an Environmental Occupational Health and Safety professional. In their earlier years, from 2002 to 2012, they held various roles at Colgate Palmolive, including Environmental Scientist & Regulatory Specialist, Chemical Hazard Specialist, Chemical Inventory Management Specialist, and Global Corporate EOHS Intern/Contractor.

Chris Gomez has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Forensic Toxicology from John Jay College (CUNY). Additionally, they have completed Pre-Medical coursework at Monmouth University. Chris also holds several certifications, including First Aid, CPR, AED, First Responder Technician HAZWOPER, GHS-Hazard Communication, Hazardous Materials Transportation (DOT), Hazardous Waste Management (RCRA), and OSHA 30.
