Diogo Barros

Diogo Barros is a Particle Engineering Scientist at Hovione since July 2022, specializing in Drug Product and Product Intermediate projects with an emphasis on Particle Engineering technology, including spray drying and wet milling, while serving as the technical lead in multidisciplinary project teams. Previously, Diogo Barros was a PhD Student in Refining Engineering, Petrochemistry and Chemistry at both Galp and CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials from March 2018 to July 2022, focusing on the screening of alternative solvents through predictive thermodynamic methods. Earlier experience includes a role as a Student Researcher at LEPABE, where a master's dissertation centered on the thermodynamic optimization of hydrogen production and purification processes was completed. Diogo Barros is an alumnus of Universidade de Aveiro, holding a PhD, and Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering was obtained.
