Joana Neiva

Joana Neiva is a skilled Process Engineer specializing in drug product development, currently employed at Hovione since May 2024. With a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, Joana previously held positions as a Senior Engineer in Manufacturing Science at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson and as a Consultant at Capgemini Engineering, focusing on tech transfer and process design. Earlier experience includes roles at Novartis Ireland as a Process Expert and at Hovione as a Continuous Drug Product Process Engineer. Joana began the career in engineering at Bosch Portugal, alongside internships and leadership in the field of biological engineering while pursuing a Master of Science degree at Universidade do Minho, completed in 2015.
