Rafael Carmo

Rafael Carmo is an experienced operations planning specialist at Hovione, with a tenure beginning in April 2017, where responsibilities include performing cGMP analyses on final products and in-process controls utilizing techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, and IC. Prior roles at Hovione encompass quality control reviewer and chemical analyst positions, focusing on product quality and intermediate analysis. In addition, Rafael served as the head football coach for Clube Atlético e Cultural - Desporto Adaptado from September 2022 to July 2023 and held financial responsibilities with the Núcleo de Estudantes de Química at the Universidade de Aveiro. Rafael is academically trained in biotechnology, holding both a licentiate and a master's degree from the Universidade de Aveiro, and recently completed UEFA C coaching certification at the UEFA Academy.
