Charles Smalls currently serves as an Instructor and Research Specialist at the Howard County Library System. Previously, Charles contributed as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, collaborating with Dr. David Berube on a project analyzing data related to bias and risk communication. Additional experience includes roles as Micro World Lab Weekend Captain at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Editor-in-Chief of Roundabout Magazine, and Production Manager at WKNC 88.1 FM. Charles began in the food service industry as a Food Server at Guasaca and a Barista at Port City Java. Charles holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from North Carolina State University.
