Diane Li

Diane Li has extensive experience in library and community service roles, currently serving as a Commissioner for the Howard County AAPI Commission since March 2022. Diane has been a part of the Howard County Library System since 1995, holding various positions including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, Branch Manager, and Public Service Librarian. Previous experience includes membership on the Southeast Council of Horizon Foundation and the Committee for Business and Economic Diversity, as well as serving as a Virtual Reference Librarian for Maryland AskUsNow! from 2003 to 2015. Diane also contributed to the Community Advisory Committee for the Howard County Board of Education and worked as a Reference Librarian at the City of Chesapeake Public Library from 1992 to 1995. Diane holds a Master of Library Science degree from PennWest Clarion and a Bachelor of Arts in Library Science from Peking University.
